Materials of Writing Desk
Plywood and HPL
We use the thickness from 18 to 25mm “marine grade” plywood material,as the base of L Shape Writing Desk.Plywood is relatively lightweight compared to other wood materials,which is an important advantage in a marine environment.It is also cost-effective and resilient,absorbing vibrations and shocks to a certain extent.We use Chinese brand laminate as the surface finish,which have excellent water resistance,perfect for wet marine environments.It also resists deformation, remaining stable under changes in temperature and humidity, and not prone to warping or deformation.
PVC Edge Banding
The thickness 2.0mm PVC banding,which is the same colour as the desk‘s laminate.Using PVC as edge banding have many advantages.Firstly,PVC has excellent waterproof properties,can effectively prevent moisture from penetrating the edges of the table.Secondly,it has corrosion resistance,can resist corrosive substances in salt water and sea breeze,which extending the service life of the writing desk.In addition,the smooth surface of PVC makes it easy to wipe and clean,which is particularly useful in marine environments,where salt and other stains may require frequent cleaning.
