What is honeycomb material?
Normally the honeycomb is refer to aluminum honeycomb.Which is not only light weight but also strong construction for marine furniture.
Honeycomb material is made from a series of hexagonal cells,resembling a honeycomb structure, that are sandwiched between two thin sheets of material.
The hexagonal shape of the cells provides excellent strength and weight features,which makes it to be ideal for using in aircraft,marine,and automotive industries.
Honeycomb material is known for their high stiffness,impact resistance,and thermal insulation properties.
The honeycomb material is typically made from kinds of different materials,it can be from aluminum,fiberglass,or carbon fiber.And can be customized according to project’s requirements.
Aluminum honeycomb material is different from metal and wood:
Weight:aluminum honeycomb material is much lighter than metal or wooden for marine furniture.
Strength:aluminum honeycomb material is generally stronger than wooden,but not as strong as metal for furniture.
Rigidity: Honeycomb material is harder than wooden,but less rigid than metal.
Thermal Insulation:the honeycomb is better thermal insulators than metal,but not as good as wooden.
Impact Resistance:compared to metal and wooden,honeycomb has excellent impact resistance.

SYB-032 Marine aluminum honeycomb bunk bed
- The bunk bed construct from high quality honeycomb as base and in Laminate panel surface finish.
- For the surface finish of aluminum honeycomb plate for bed,which is used by Formica HPL.Because of IMO certificate is requested by shipper.
- There is double thickness of aluminum honeycomb.One is inner aluminum,and another one the whole honeycomb.Firstly the honeycomb is combination with 1.0mm thick’s aluminum.And the honeycomb is 18 or 25mm thick.
- The bunk bed no back panel,which order to reduce the cost.It is W2060*D835*H2100mm,other dimension can be custom according request.
- The aluminum honeycomb bunk bed has double drawers and ladder.
How long is the life of aluminum honeycomb material?
Aluminum honeycomb material has a long lifespan more than 30 years,due to the surface fluorocarbon coating that guarantees no deformation and no color change over time.
